Combustion Research and Flow Technology, Inc. (CRAFT Tech®) was formed in 1994 with a nucleus of personnel who had worked together since the early 1980's. Our group possesses substantive experience in the numerical modeling of aero-propulsive flowfields, and, had developed the JANNAF Standard Plume Flowfield and NASP Scramjet Propulsion codes which were utilized by numerous DoD agencies and prime contractors. Our technical staff has expertise in CFD, combustion, turbulence, LES, aeroacoustics, DSMC and multiphase flows. Principal areas of technology application include: rocket and airbreathing propulsion, liquid rocket turbopumps, aerodynamics, jet/plume/wake flowfields, cavity aeroacoustics, and passive and active flow control. Very close ties with the academic community are maintained via consulting relationships with professors with whom key personnel have worked with for many years. With over 400 contracts to date, CRAFT Tech® is a recognized leader in the aero-propulsion community. Various defense contractors, DoD laboratories, and NASA centers have benefited from CRAFT Tech's expertise in analyzing exhaust plume signatures, jet noise reduction concepts, missile vibrations, cavity acoustics attenuation, scramjet combustion, cavitating flows, and numerous other challenging problems that require advanced computational methods. CRAFT Tech also licenses its CFD codes for high-fidelity simulations of challenging applications with complex physics. Please send an email to info@craft-tech.com for more information on licensing our software. Scope of Activities
